From South America:
Everyone in the small Ecuadorian community shunned the women. Both young and old, these women had dedicated their lives to the occult. Their vile actions and vocabulary had driven a wedge between them and their family, friends and neighbors. Believing their lifestyles were unacceptable in the eyes of God, people kept their distance. No one wanted to be associated with the women. That is, until a team from Cruzada (as Cru is known in Ecuador) came to minister in the area.

Wanting to share the love of Christ with the female outcasts, the team set up a Jesus Film screening. The small group watched Magdalena: Released From Shame, which depicts Jesus’ compassion toward spurned women like Mary Magdalene and the Samaritan woman at the well. During the showing, the Holy Spirit touched the women’s hearts, and the entire group came to Christ!

Seeing and hearing about Jesus’ interactions with women just like them in Magdalena helped to transform the women’s lives. Every member of the group has turned away from the occult. Instead of pursuing evil, the former outcasts have dedicated their lives to following Christ.
