Our student leaders have taken the initiative to serve their fellow peers.  Each Thursday before the CRU weekly meeting Campus Crusade students knock on the doors of those in their residence hall and ask if they have any trash that needs to be taken to the dumpster.  Our students do not mention anything about Jesus or Campus Crusade—the purpose of this outreach is to serve.  The week before Easter is Jesus Awareness Week (JAW) and at that time our students will initiate spiritual conversations  with their peers.  Right now our students are building credibility with their peers—developing a relationship with those “in arms reach” with whom they will very soon share the Gospel message.

Another  outreach our students have been doing for several semesters is  the Thursday Night Pancake Feed.  Before the CRU meeting every Thursday several of our female student leaders slave over the griddle making pancakes for lots of hungry college students.

The trash and pancake outreaches are an excellent example of Campus Crusade’s focus on Good News and Good Deeds.  We want our students to proclaim Jesus with their mouths, but also in their actions.
