On the second day of the conference students were challenged to initiate spiritual conversations with friends back home via Facebook and texting. At first, some students were apprehensive about sharing their faith over the internet.
“I don’t think I like the idea of sharing my faith over Facebook,” said Katie from Missouri. “It seems impersonal or awkward, but I’m just going to trust that   God can use it.”
Nevertheless, Katie went to a coffee shop with her friends and began messaging friends. She got in touch with a girl she had some classes with but never engaged in conversation.
“It’s just cool because I don’t think that I would have thought to talk to her if we hadn’t done this outreach. We are going to get coffee after Christmas break.”

What others said:

“I texted a girl from my childhood and she said that she wanted her and her son to know Christ!”

“I shared with 10 friends and am scheduling follow up conversations in person as well. I loved that outreach the most!”
