crubqThe first 6 weeks are under our belt. Whew (insert deep breath)! Life on campus was filled with conversation with fresh faces, cheap pizza and hotdogs, long nights at BWWs, Applebee’s, and Sonic after weekly meetings, staff meetings with an overflowing agenda, launching Bible studies and new Cru movements, Cru staff running off coffee (and lots of it) and the renewed vision of reaching the campus with the Gospel. It’s an exciting time of the year for us.

We started the year with a Cru-B-Q on the UNO campus. We invited students to come check it out, enjoy a free dinner, and mingle with staff and involved Cru students. We saw around 50 students and many of them have checked out a weekly meeting, and even more encouraging, several have become heavily involved with Cru.

mcc omahaCommunity colleges are a challenging place to do ministry due to the non-traditional nature of the school population, so we’re praising God for raising up several students on each campus– Metro South and Elkhorn Metro- who want to re-launch Cru and go after their peers/classmates with the Gospel.
