Last weekend, 12 UNO students joined in with almost 200 students from across Nebraska at Timberlake Ranch Camp to “Encounter” Jesus at Fall Getaway. It was a weekend filled with practical ways to walk with Jesus, modeling what true confession looks like, deepening friendships, and returning to Omaha as a group more aligned, connected, and determined to go after their campus. As staff, we know how crucial Fall Getaway is for retention, commitment, and involvement with Cru. But we never want to forget how life transforming it is as well. Students left having encountered Jesus for the first time, or in a new and fresh way.
